Bioflavonoids Boost Immunity

Bioflavonoids citrus is enormous for the body as they are rich in plant compounds that may help reduce your risk to cancer. Global orange juice production for 2021-2022 is estimated up 1.4 million tons from the previous year to 48.8 million tons. Many culinary citrus fruits have culinary use including oranges tangerines, grapefruits, and clementines were generally eaten fresh to enjoy the benefits of citrus. Some citrus foods contain significant amounts of bioflavonoids phytochemical class called furanocoumarins a diverse family of naturally occurring chemical compounds found in all types of citrus but those found in grapefruit possess several health-promoting properties that include anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-obesity, and bone-building effects say the IFAS Extention of the University Of Florida,  Citrus provides vitamin C referred to as L-ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid boosts immune strength maintaining overall good health benefits the entire body.

Eating fresh foods packed with bioflavonoids and vitamin C complex prevents arteries from hardening and may improve vein, blood vessel, vein, and capillary strength.  Heart disease is prevalent in the United States reaching epidemic levels among adults.  According to the CDC Centers Of Disease Control, an estimated 610,000 people die of heart disease each year, 1 in every 4 deaths. Bioflavonoids naturally found in organic food sources, fruits, and most vegetables may stimulate bile production. Vitamin C has tremendous benefits for the body when consumed through natural food or supplement sources preventing the development of serious diseases. According to the Mayo Clinic, the vitamin C recommendation for adults is 65 to 90 milligrams per day an upper limit of 2,000 milligrams per day.  Typically safe for consumption large doses may cause stomach upset including nausea in large doses.  Vitamin C is commonly found in fruits and vegetables and fortified foods for healthy eating choices. The benefit of bioflavonoids in citrus is enormous on the health of the body and may help reduce the effects of developing disease and promotes weight loss when consumed in moderation.

Bioflavonoids protect the body from developing serious diseases including viral and bacterial infections, cancer, allergies, arthritis, and heart disease by stimulating the immune system.  It is found in various foods, also sold as a dietary supplement form. Deficiencies in vitamin C may result in fatigue, slow healing, rough skin, gum disease, and bruising. Grapefruits have long been considered part of a healthy diet plan due to them being rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals such as flavonoids and furanocoumarins.
